Bici cafe, Ulverston

Katrina and Gwill approached us with their ideas for their new restaurant/cafe based in Ulverston, Cumbria. Their cafe was to focus on high-quality & authentic food sourced locally where possible, with a bike theme to acknowledge their position at the start of the Cumbrian Way. They wanted to have this high-standard reflected in their interior, and that is where The Route ID came in.

It was crucial that we brought personality and flare to the design while ensuring it was welcoming to all customers and was sympathetic to the history of the building. From a practical view, it was essential that all furnishings were suitable for us, while aesthetically, we needed to ensure that customers would want to return time and time again.

We feel our sophisticated take on the industrial look combines all these elements to create a dynamic space that provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the wonderful delights that the restaurant has to offer.

“Working with Imogen and Emily to create our interior scheme has been an absolute pleasure. We have found them to be friendly, professional and efficient. Their vision and creativity has been inspiring, whilst their practical and methodical approach means that they have considered and added value to all elements of our business.”
