At The Route Interior Design we believe everyone should be able to enjoy outstanding interiors and have access to quality design. Working within the hospitality and leisure industry, we use our skills, experience and love for design to get the most out of your spaces. Our clients have spaces that now work for their business, brand and people while allowing them to stand-out in competitive markets and captivate their customers.
Our common belief; 'good design should be a part of everyone's everyday,' brought us together to form The Route ID in 2016. Working predominantly with commercial interiors, from offices to hotels, restaurants to holiday lets, bars to B&B's, we have quickly established a strong client basis with fantastic interiors to match! We provide a personal service offering everything from conceptual design to full project management. Our tailored approach ensures every design is different, using you and your business as inspiration for the transformation of your space.
Background: Having grown up in the Lake District, I graduated from Leeds with an Interior Design degree in 2003 and have dedicated myself to the industry ever since, most recently working at Sarah Jane Nielsen Ltd where I met Imogen. I have built up a wide range of knowledge and expertise, continually striving to achieve my career goals.
Why Interiors: I have always had a natural creative ability. That combined with my inherent attention to detail and practicality means I have never considered anything else.
Other Than Design: I have travelled extensively throughout the world and love it. From hiking in the Himalayas to jungle trekking in Borneo to getting married at the base of Coniston Old Man, I am happiest immersed in the raw elements of nature.

Background: My diploma in Interior Design launched me into the world of interiors. Moving from London back to the family base in Cumbria I have an exciting, creative edge, bringing a fresh perspective to the area I call home. My intrinsic belief in hard work and creativity has always and continues to drive me.
Why Interiors: I have always loved immersing myself in great design. Whether that be discovering new products in the studio, at design shows or venturing to new and inspiring spaces.
Other Than Design: Food! I am always seeking out my next meal. Either in the kitchen, creating innovative recipes using amazing, local produce or out and about discovering new places with dishes to indulge in. My ambition for a healthy, happy lifestyle allows me to get the most from life.
